EXPED Ultra 3R MW is an ultra-lightweight and highly packable three-season sleeping bag designed for hiking, trekking, bikepacking and other muscle-powered adventures where low weight, reliable insulation and good sleeping comfort are crucial. The MW size offers additional width, providing more room to move and comfort for larger users or those who simply want more space - without compromising packability.
The underfloor is constructed with SynMat Technology™ construction, with recycled Texpedloft™ microfiber insulation laminated directly into the air passages. The structure provides even and effective insulation across the entire sleeping surface and reduces cold spots even when the temperature drops. With an ASTM-tested R-value of 2.9, Ultra 3R is suitable for use down to temperatures around -5°C, making it a reliable choice from early spring to late fall.
Ultra 3R MW is 7 cm thick and features EXPED's Comfort Cradle™ construction, with larger side channels for added stability and to help keep the body centered on the surface during the night. The three-dimensional baffle structure enhances sleeping comfort, creates a smoother sleeping surface and helps retain heat - despite the lightweight construction.
The cover fabric is made from recycled 20D ripstop polyester with TPU lamination and is bluesign® approved, ensuring a durable yet lightweight construction for active use. The chassis is equipped with EXPED's FlatValve valve, which makes filling and emptying quick and effortless. The included Schnozzel Pumpbag allows efficient filling without moisture entering the chassis.
