EXPED Ultra 3R M Mummy is an ultra-light sleeping bag for three seasons. It is designed for hiking, trekking, bikepacking and other fast-paced, muscle-powered adventures where every gram counts. The Mummy shape is optimized to reduce both weight and pack size without compromising warmth or sleeping comfort.
The base is constructed with SynMat Technology™ construction, where recycled Texpedloft™ microfiber insulation is laminated directly into air chambers. This construction provides uniform and effective insulation throughout the sleeping surface and retains heat in use for long periods of time. With an ASTM-tested R-value of 2.9, the Ultra 3R is suitable for use in temperatures down to around -5°C, making it a reliable choice from early spring to late autumn.
The Ultra 3R M Mummy is 7 cm thick and features EXPED's Comfort Cradle™ construction, with larger side chambers to help keep the body centered on the platform throughout the night. The three-dimensional baffle structure increases stability, reduces cold bridges and improves sleeping comfort - despite the lightweight construction.
The cover fabric is made from recycled 20D ripstop polyester with TPU lamination and is bluesign® approved, ensuring a durable yet lightweight construction for active use. The chassis is equipped with EXPED's FlatValve valve for quick and effortless filling and emptying. The included Schnozzel Pumpbag allows efficient filling without moisture entering the chassis.
With a weight of only about 365 grams (size M Mummy) and a very small pack size, the Ultra 3R M Mummy is a clear demonstration of EXPED's philosophy: maximum performance, minimum surplus.
