The optimised Nordic rubber compound consists of silica, oil and carbon black. These components ensure higher performance. The silica improves performance on wet surfaces, the added oil enables better handling in winter conditions, while the carbon black helps to achieve excellent driving performance (durability). All in all, the tyre's new rubber compound is optimised specifically for Nordic roads.

The tyre's defined direction of rotation improves handling in slush and during water transfer. The tread pattern design effectively promotes water and slush evacuation, and the symmetrical main grooves of the pattern flush water away from the centre of the pattern in a straight line outwards.
