Excellent driving performance on winter surfaces thanks to the optimised Nordic Matrix rubber compound
Optimised Nordic rubber compound consisting of silica, oil and carbon black. These components ensure higher performance. The silica improves performance on wet surfaces, the added oil enables better handling in winter conditions, while the carbon black helps to achieve excellent driving performance (durability). All in all, the new rubber compound is optimised specifically for Nordic roads.

The new VanContact™ Ice offers efficient and safe grip in all winter conditions. For better grip and handling, the tyre sipes lock when the wheel is turned, stiffening the tread pattern when cornering. This improves handling and braking performance in all snowy and icy driving conditions. In addition, a deeper area around the stud - the new Ramp Ice Reservoir - collects ice crumbs between the road and the stud, allowing the stud to better bite into the ice, ensuring excellent performance on ice.
Unprecedented on-ice performance over the entire lifetime of the new hardened pin
The all-new pin is made of special hardened steel. The pin is seamlessly bonded to the tyre's fabric compound to reduce pin loss over the life of the tyre. Both tyre and studs wear evenly, ensuring excellent interaction between stud and tread pattern for maximum performance
