FÅA's English agency John Good & Sons made sure the travel fever stayed high with the delightful Off the Beaten Track series. It was like a prediction of what would happen in the 1930s: Finland, a great tourist country for everyone.
In order to honor the great brainiacs who sold, sold and sold Finland to English tourists, we can only publish a short extract from the Off the Beaten Track brochure in the original language from 1927: "... Thus we find, in the middle of an age of bustle and confusion, this delightful country, unspoilt by large cities and factories, left, as it were, as a playground, where we can once again experience the Joys of a perfect holiday. But tourists are quickly discovering the delights of Finland. The number of visitors is increasing every year. So come to Finland NOW, before the charm and freshness is spoiled. Why not come this year?”
