The Carcassonne base game is required to play this add-on. You can also combine this with other Carcassonne add-ons.
In this Carcassonne add-on, you let your mayor lure your opponents' knights to his side until he has to leave for an urgent meeting. You can also increase your influence with your messenger and scarecrow.
Summary of the add-on:
- A mayor can be placed in a town (even a reserved one) instead of a successor. When the mayor is surrounded on all 4 sides, the player may replace the mayor's city with the opponent's regular successor.
- Your scarecrow may be placed in a field (also reserved) instead of your successor. When the scarecrow is surrounded on all 4 sides, the player may either replace the scarecrow with its regular follower, knock the scarecrow down as a pawn, or return the scarecrow to the player's inventory.
- A bishop may be placed on a free road. When a road is scored, the messenger can be moved to an adjacent (also reserved) unfinished road or city. If the courier is in a city and is scored, the courier returns to the player's inventory.
- The city tile can be played instead of playing the regular terrain tile. It fits anywhere and encloses all adjacent areas. The township tile itself does not count as part of any territory. In addition, the town hall tile removes all mayors on its four sides from the game area without activating their properties.
