Soft, bendable hair rods for making curls. Slightly dampen the hair and/or apply styling product before using the rod. For wavy curls, place a large section of hair onto one rod (the hair should be very slightly damp or completely dry). For tighter curls, roll small sections of hair onto one rod. Begin by rolling the hair from the ends toward the top of the head, then bend the ends of the rod together tightly to make a loop. The curls will last longer if you use styling product. Allow the hair to dry overnight or blow-dry thoroughly. Roll the rods to release the hair, run your fingers or a wide tooth comb through the curls, and finally use hairspray for a long-lasting hairdo.
