Bushmen ULTRA Tarp 2 × 3 m is an ultra-light and versatile tarp for hiking, camping and minimalist camping. It is the smallest model in the ULTRA series and designed specifically for the solo hiker who appreciates light weight, compact pack size and reliable protection in varying weather conditions.
The tarp is made from durable 20D ripstop nylon and the attachment points are reinforced with Dyneema reinforcements. The tarp alone weighs only 310 g, but still provides around 6 m² of protection. The rectangular shape allows for efficient and flexible set-up, for example as a shelter, rain shelter or additional protection in a camp.
The ULTRA Tarp 2 × 3 m has a total of 16 attachment points, allowing for a variety of set-up options for different terrains and weather conditions. Three anchorage points are located on the ridge of the central seam and are specially reinforced. The central seam is taped, which improves the tarp's waterproofness and durability for long-term use.
The tarp is supplied as a complete set, including 6 pieces of 3 m long attachment pegs with sliding buckles. The sliding buckles also act as a safety mechanism: they give way in the event of overloading, for example in strong winds or in the event of a stumble, and help prevent damage to the tarp. In normal use, the buckles lock securely and allow for quick tightening without the need for knots.
If the cord comes off the hook, it can be easily reinstalled by lifting up the flap and sliding the cord back into place.
The ULTRA series tarps are designed with lightweight and packability in mind. The construction does not include heavy reinforcements, so the tarp requires careful handling. It is not designed to withstand heavy loads or extremely high winds. The use of rubber bands for attachments can help absorb sudden pulls and extend the life of the tarp.
The compact packing bag, supplied as a suitcase, is equipped with three loops to attach the bag to a backpack or rucksack. Packing a wet tarp into a tight bag can be challenging, so careful folding and rolling makes packing easier.
