Boya BY-PVM3000 is a professional Shotgun microphone system consisting of three microphones BY-PVM3000S (Short), BY-PVM3000M (Medium) and BY-PVM3000L (Long).
Thanks to the super hearty directional pattern, the BY-PVM3000 can effectively block all unwanted background noise from the side and behind. The longer the microphone housing is used, the narrower the reception angle, which provides accurate sound from the subject being recorded.
The BOYA BY-PVM3000 microphone has a built-in low-pass filter switch in the preamplifier, if you hear low-frequency sounds from the air conditioner or traffic during recording, switch to low level to eliminate these sounds.
The BY-PVM3000 has a 3-pin XLR plug, if you want to use it for SLR cameras with a 3.5mm microphone jack, an XLR female to TRS audio cable is required. Or if you use it on camcorders with XLR connection, an XLR female to male audio cable is needed, the same audio cables are needed if it is to be used on professional recorders or other audio interfaces.
The BOYA BY-PVM3000L has the longest microphone housing with the narrowest reception angle of 30 degrees, thanks to which the BY-PVM3000L fine-tunes the sound source, giving a clear recording. This is ideal for things like sports reporting and filmmaking etc.
