Bosch C70 is an intelligent battery charger/maintenance charger for 12-24V lead-acid batteries, with a maximum charging current of 10A/12V and 5A/24V. It charges all 12-24V lead-acid battery types, including AGM and gel batteries. It features an IP65 waterproof rating. It includes maintenance functions as well as pulse charging and Boost functions for recovering deeply discharged and sulfated 12V batteries. It has protection against incorrect pole connections. Operating temperature is 0...+40°C. It provides a reliable and safe charging process, as the device switches to standby mode if the battery voltage drops too low or if the cables are connected incorrectly (reverse polarity). It has only one mode button, making it very easy to use. When the device is connected to power, the LED ring lights up blue = standby mode. Pressing the MODE button turns the LED ring green and selects the desired charging mode. The indicator light for the selected mode turns on. The charger checks that charging can begin. Once everything is in order, charging starts automatically after a short safety interval. All battery types can be charged with the C70 charger. Deeply discharged 12V batteries can be revived separately using the Boost function, for example, if the lights were left on for an extended period and the battery is empty. This can be revived using pulse charging and the Boost function. The battery can be restored to operational condition and fully charged if the battery voltage is above 7.5V initially and sulfation in the cells has not progressed too far. It also offers a power supply function (13.6V max 5.0A), allowing the smart charger to be used as a power source for a cooler or to maintain power in a vehicle while changing its fixed battery. Using it as a power supply should always be done according to the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions.
