Information on ballistic protection: STANAG 4296 is a general standard for eye protection for military use, which guarantees protection according to STANAG 2920, but also specifies:

- Compatibility with other equipment (helmet, face shield, etc.)
2920 is the ballistic protection test method defined by NATO, according to which Bolle Tactical eye protectors are tested. Each lens is subjected to the impact of a steel cylinder equivalent to a 0.22 caliber bullet. The test is performed at a maximum speed of 275 m/s (990 km/h). The standard is followed in all NATO countries.
