Feel: Be prepared to feel the blade gently to feel for any dull areas. 2. Choose Sharpening Tools Grinding Stone. Sandpaper: you can also use sandpaper if sanding stones are not available. Sharpening stick. Fluid: You can use water or grinding oil, which will not corrode the blade. Step 1: Prepare Clean Blade: Make sure the blade is clean and dry before sharpening.
