The AOT SPIN 500 is a sturdy and highly adjustable indoor bike for users who want a gym-quality experience from their home workouts, a wide range of resistance levels and accurate training data.
An 11 kg flywheel, quiet belt drive and electronically controlled magnetic resistance ensure a smooth pedalling experience. With 32 resistance levels available, this bike is suitable for everything from light, recovery-focused workouts to intense intervals and strength training.
The wide resistance range makes it easy to tailor your workout to your own goals:
- Levels 1–8: light and recovery training
- Levels 9–18: general fitness and weight management training
- Levels 19–27: cardio and endurance training
- Levels 27–32: intense intervals and strength-focused training
Electronic magnetic resistance enables a smooth and quickly adjustable load without the wearing brake pads found in mechanical friction brakes. The SPIN 500 generates the electrical energy it requires during training, so a continuous mains connection is not necessary. The bike can be positioned more freely in the room without the need for a power socket next to the training area. This makes the machine a practical option for both home gyms and communal use.
The clear TFT display shows the key workout data: resistance, speed, time, distance, cadence, calories burnt and heart rate.
The Bluetooth connection uses the FTMS protocol, and the bike can be paired with compatible fitness apps. Cadence data is transmitted via the FTMS connection, enabling training using virtual training environments, for example.
The saddle height is adjustable from 825 to 1070 mm, with 95 mm of fore-aft adjustment. The handlebar height is adjustable between 1053 and 1162 mm. The reach between the handlebars and the saddle can be adjusted from approximately 550 to 720 mm. The versatile handlebar offers a range of grip positions for both relaxed riding and more aggressive spinning and interval training.
The SPIN 500 uses 152 mm cranks. Shorter cranks reduce the range of motion required by the leg compared to traditional, longer cranks. This can facilitate the use of a high cadence and reduce the flexion angle of the knee and hip at the top of the pedal stroke. The 87 mm Q-factor provides a stable pedalling position, particularly when pedalling whilst standing and at higher resistance levels.
The bike weighs 41.5 kg, and the maximum user weight is 150 kg. The heavy frame helps to keep the machine stable even when pedalling whilst standing and during intense intervals. At just 484 mm wide, the frame takes up relatively little floor space, making it easy to fit the bike into a home gym.
The stated noise level is approximately 42.9–65.7 dB, depending on the load and pedalling speed. The belt drive and magnetic resistance allow for quiet training without the grinding noise of a traditional friction brake.
