Kuksa is ecological and easy to use. However, it should be treated with coffee fat to improve both taste and durability.
- Let the coffee stand in the cup for two minutes, pour it out and let it dry for a couple of hours so that the pores of the wood open up.
- After drying, the actual coffee fat treatment is performed.
- A tablespoon of wet, warm coffee grounds is taken from the bottom of the filter bag, which is rubbed firmly against the walls of the mug with the thumb until the grounds have dried. The coffee fat is absorbed into the open pores of the wood and forms a water-repellent grease film. The kuksa does not get wet, dry and crack, and all the extra flavors remain under the film.
Wood is such a hygienic material that in normal use the bowl stays clean just by rinsing, no detergents are needed.
