Retarder, as its name suggests, slows down the drying of acrylic paint. The use of color enables an oil-like way of working, where the color stays open longer.
Used sparingly (a few 'drops', maximum 5% of the volume)
- Colorless and translucent liquid containing slow-evaporating thinners.
- An auxiliary agent that is used when you want to slow down the drying of acrylic colors, for example when painting wet on wet.
- Use sparingly, no more than 2-5% of the amount of color, which increases the drying time by about 20%.
- Too much will adversely affect the formation of the color film.
- Dilution: water.
