To ensure long-term safety, the Alecto SMARTSMOKE11 smoke alarm is supplied with a battery that lasts up to 10 years. The devices give a "low" warning when the battery needs to be replaced, and the battery life can be monitored in the app.
A useful pause, test and reset button is particularly useful to have on board. This large and unobtrusive button is easy to reach from a distance, for example from the end of a broomstick.

Safety alarm 1. From 1 July 2022
From 1 July 2022, it will be mandatory in the Netherlands to install a smoke alarm on every floor of a house and in enclosed spaces through which an escape route passes. The Dutch building code will be amended, making this a legal obligation. This applies to both homeowners and tenants regardless of the age of the building.
