A genuine "Catamaran", the Suomi 475 Cat is a completely new type of boat: a double-hull rowing and motor boat that does not tilt even in tight situations. Thanks to its unique design, the Suomi 475 Cat raises the safety of small boats to a whole new level. The boat is easy and safe to move around, has plenty of storage space and is a pleasure to travel in any weather.
The safe boat is perfectly suited for all activities on the water - its unique features are highlighted in demanding situations, such as net fishing, casting trolling and, for example, waterfowl hunting.
This concept should by no means be confused with a trimaran. Suomi 475 Cat works very well also at sea in coastal conditions. The two hulls/keels stabilize the ride in waves and the power requirement is low because the wave-forming resistance is small. The generation of wake waves and thus the generation of rolling resistance is also low due to the narrow hulls.
