OMATESTI URINARY TRACT INFECTION TEST is an easy and quick strip test that detects blood, protein, nitrite, and leukocytes from a urine sample. It is intended to assist in diagnosing urinary tract infections. The test is disposable and self-administered.
The test consists of a hard plastic strip with four different testing areas attached. Each testing area contains a reagent that reacts with a specific urinary tract infection marker, causing the testing area to change color. The markers have been selected in such a way that they are not normally present in urine (note, however, the possibility of blood mixing into the urine sample during menstruation). The test package includes a color chart to interpret the test result. Note that any color other than the one indicating a negative result means that the result is positive. This makes interpreting the results straightforward.
What to do if the test is positive? A positive result for even one marker always suggests a urinary tract infection or another urinary tract problem. Therefore, it is advisable to contact healthcare promptly and report any symptoms and the test result.
When should you take the Urinary Tract Infection Test? It is advisable to take the test if you have symptoms of a urinary tract infection, such as burning during urination, an increased need to urinate, or pain/cramping in the lower abdomen, or if you suffer from recurrent urinary tract infections, or simply to confirm.

Using the test: Always read the product package leaflet carefully before use. Briefly, to perform the test: 1) Dip the test strip into the urine sample for 1-2 seconds. 2) Read the result after 2 minutes by comparing the color of the test areas on the strip to the color chart included in the package.
